El Chapo’s Sons Threaten Coronavirus Lockdown Violators With Violence
No games! The sons of notorious drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman are taking this coronavirus pandemic very seriously.
According to the New York Post citing the Yucatan Times, Iván Archivaldo Guzmán, 36, and Jesús Alfredo Guzmán, 37 – known as “Los Chapitos, or “Little Chapos” reportedly threatened curfew violators in Culiacan with beatings with boards, arrests, and fines.
In a video posted online shows a member of the Sinaloa Cartel is heard making a warning to folks out in Culiacan, the city under the cartel’s control. “After 10 o’clock at night, all the people must be inside their homes due to the coronavirus, otherwise they will be punished, these are orders ‘from above (from Los Chapitos). “This is no game! We’re not playing!” he adds.
The publication reported that members of the cartel have been patrolling Culiacán, the state capital of Sinaloa, Mexico, in heavily armored vehicles to enforce the curfew.
251,718 people around the world have now died from COVID-19, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University. The number of confirmed cases exceeds 3.5 million, while nearly 1.2 million people have recovered. Health officials say these numbers are expected to climb.
