Singer Ed Sheeran is prepared for the worst, and wants to be in charge of his final resting place.

While many of us hope our love ones respect our final wishes, Ed isn’t playing no games and has already got his own grave in his backyard. That must make for some fun BBQ talk!

The singer shared the morbid confession to GQ earlier in the week. When asked why, he shared that he had friends who passed who had no will and he wanted to be prepared. However, the pre dug grave isn’t anything fancy, but just a hole in the ground with a stone marker.

“It’s a hole that’s dug in the ground with a bit of stone over it, so whenever the day comes and I pass away, I get to go in there,” he described of his personal grave. “People think it’s really weird and really morbid, but I’ve had friends die without wills, and no one knows what to do.”

In addition to his own final resting place, he also has a chapel where a few loved ones have gotten married, anf he also wants to have a space for loved ones who have been cremated.

Sheeran recently lost loved ones

Sheeran, who recently dropped his album “Autumn Variations” earlier this month, candidly discussed his mental health during an interview for “Subtract” in May.

“Writing songs is my therapy. It helps me make sense of my feelings. I wrote without thought of what the songs would be, I just wrote whatever tumbled out. And in just over a week, I replaced a decade’s worth of work with my deepest darkest thoughts,” he said.

“Within the space of a month, my pregnant wife got told she had a tumour, with no route to treatment until after the birth. My best friend Jamal, a brother to me, died suddenly and I found myself standing in court defending my integrity and career as a songwriter. I was spiraling through fear, depression and anxiety. I felt like I was drowning, head below the surface, looking up but not being able to break through for air.”
