E! News Canceled After 29 Years Due To Economic Impact Of Coronavirus

According to Variety after 29 years, E! News has been canceled by NBCUniversal. This news comes just a year after the show announced that it would switch from a nightly show based in L.A. to a morning show based in New York.

Since 1991, E! has been providing celebrity news and covering some of the biggest parties and events in the industry. The news comes as NBC Universal has been forced to shelve many of its shows as a result of the pandemic

“E! News,” which was most recently co-anchored by Lilliana Vazquez and Scott Tweedie, was at the height of celebrity television when Giuliana Rancic and Ryan Seacrest hosted.

Vazquez marked the show’s end in an Instagram post Wednesday. “Thankful for this incredible adventure and I will miss this team and crew beyond belief,” she said. “Yes…even the 4am call time.”

Pop of the Morning, and In the Room have also been canceled.
