Dwayne Johnson Named Hollywood’s Highest-Paid Actor For Second Year In A Row

Dwayne Johnson has been named Hollywood’s highest-paid actor for the second year in a row. Forbes notes that between June 2019 and June 2020, The Rock racked up $87.5 million, pulling in $23.5 million alone from his upcoming role in the Netflix film, ‘Red Notice.’

In 2019, the actor brought in $89.4 million thanks to his work in ‘Skyrscraper,’ ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw,’ and the final season of his HBO series, ‘Ballers.’ In addition to his his monetary success in TV and Film, Johnson’s struck gold with his Under Armour clothing line, Project Rock.

Also hitting the Forbes list with Johnson was Ryan Reynolds, who also made the list for a second year with $71 million. $20 million of it came from his work alongside Johnson in ‘Red Notice,’ and another $20 million for another Netflix film, ‘6 Underground.’ Mark Wahlberg came in at number 3 with $58 million, stemming from his producer credits for ‘McMillions‘ and ‘Wahl Street,’ along with his role in Netflix’s ‘Spenser Confidential.’
