Drew Carey Takes Hiatus From ‘The Price Is Right’ After Ex-Fiancee’s Murder
‘The Price Is Right‘ host Drew Carey, 61, is taking a hiatus from the classic game show after learning of the shocking murder of his former fiancee, Dr. Amie Harwick, 38.
TMZ reports that the show sent out and email to audience members updating that they’ve cancelled this week’s Tuesday and Wednesday tapings.

The publication states, “Harwick was murdered over the weekend after an ex-boyfriend [Gareth Pursehouse, 41] allegedly attacked her and caused her to fall off a third-story balcony in the Hollywood Hills.”
Upon arriving on the scene, LAPD found Harwick on the ground “unresponsive” and “gravely injured.”
Subsequently, authorities arrested and book Pursehouse for murder on Saturday. An investigation has been opened and will be presented to the D.A.’s office for filing on Wednesday.

In 2017, Drew and Amie began dating and in early 2018, they announced their engagement. Less than a year later, the couple split.
