Drake Plans To Donate Profits From Rock In Rio Shirts To Amazon Conservation Team

Drake is taking all proceeds from an upcoming shirt release and donating it to the Amazon conservation team!

As Drake gears up to take the stage at the Rock in Rio Festival Sept. 27 through Oct. 6, he’s making a pledge to give back to the Amazon wildfire.

In a recent post to Instagram, Drake alongside his merch company TourLife announced that they would be donating all proceeds from his Rock in Rio shirt to the organization Amazon Conservation Team.

“Dropping tomorrow at 12PM PST/ 3PM EST on Tourlife.com to support local Amazonian communities on the front lines in the fight against fires and deforestation in the Amazon with all proceeds of the Drake exclusive tee going towards Dr. Mark J. Plotkin’s foundation The Amazon Conservation Team.”

In a sign of gratitude, the organization took to their Twitter account to send their thanks saying;

“Our heartfelt thanks go out to @Drake and @TourLife for supporting Amazonian indigenous communities and the rainforest!”

If you recall, Brazil’s Amazon rainforest suffered a tremendous loss after fires burned at the highest rate seen since 2013. This would mark 72,843 fires this year alone with over half of them being in the Amazon region.
