The Drake and Kendrick Lamar rap beef hits headlines again as the Toronto rapper calls Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh a “goof” for attending the Compton rapper’s concert. The politician later apologized to Drizzy and confirmed his stance in the beef.

On Sunday (June 15), images and videos of Jagmeet Singh, the former federal leader of the New Democratic Party, began circulating online showing him enjoying a K.Dot concert.
Currently, Kendrick Lamar is on his Grand National Tour (GNX) with fellow co-headlining TDE artist, singer SZA. The world tour made a 2-date stop in Toronto, Canada on June 12 and June 13 at the Rogers Centre.
After witnessing the photos and videos of Jagmeet Singh enjoying Kendrick Lamar and SZA’s concert, Drake called the politician a “goof.” Taking to his Instagram Story, Drizzy shared a screenshot of his Instagram DMs with Singh. The last message showed the rapper telling Singh, “You’re a goof.”
Jagmeet Singh eventually caught Drake’s private and public criticism and issued his own public message, apologizing to Drizzy for appearing to switch sides in the rap beef.

Canadian Politician Jagmeet Singh Apologizes To Drake For Attending Kendrick Lamar Concert In Toronto
Singh took to his Instagram Story and explained himself, stating, “I went for SZA not Kendrick.” Singh continued to clarify, “I was born in this city, I love this city. But real talk, I get it. I shouldn’t have gone at all.” Singh boasted, “OVO and Drake have lifted up this city and [Canada emoji]. For me it’ll always be Drake over Kendrick. [peace sign emoji].”
Drake has yet to confirm if he’s seen Singh’s apology and has not further spoke on the topic. However, other social media users have commented. One user asked, “Did he apologize to get back in Drake’s good books, or is he just thinking about future Toronto votes?”
Another said, “This goes for all u Canadian goofies that attended that shrimps concert don’t ever disrespect the 6God like that again #TheOwlsWatching.”
A third user wrote, “That’s POWER right there. Drake really is the king of Toronto, and the entire country of Canada while we’re at it. 🇨🇦” Another user replied to them and boasted, “Kendrick got drake on social media calling his own peoples goofs for enjoying dots concert and got politician’s apologizing to a ‘goof’ now thats POWER.”
