Drake Bell Sentenced To Two Months Probation For Sending Explicit Sexual Texts To Minor, Must Register As Sex Offender

Nickelodeon star Drake Bell has been handed down a sentence of two years probation after he pled guilty to criminal charges involving a minor.

As we reported, the 35-year-old pleaded guilty to endangering a child, which is a fourth-degree felony, and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating content harmful to minors. He must serve two years probation and 200 hours of community service, while also registering as a sex offender. He allegedly began grooming the victim when she was just 12.

“I accept this plea because my conduct was wrong,” Bell said on Zoom. “I’m sorry the victim was harmed. It was not my intention. I take this matter very seriously, and, again, I just want to apologize to her and anyone else who may have been affected by my actions.”

The victim claimed that Bell reached out to her when she was 12, and that he was “pedophile” and said they had sent explicit photos to each other while also engaging in sexual activity at a Cleveland concert venue and a hotel.

“I was definitely one of his biggest fans,” the victim, said. “I would have done anything for him.”

“The pain that the defendant has caused me is indescribable, and it worsens every day,” the woman, who is now 19, said. “Being used by somebody who meant the world to me has left me feeling more hurt than I have ever been before.”

“My life hasn’t been the same since I was 15. I think about these crimes every single day. I feel like I’m in a constant dark place. Sometimes I wish I could disappear so I can forget about what happened,” she said. “Jared Drake Bell is a pedophile, and that is his legacy.”
