Donnell Rawlings wasn’t feeling Corey Holcomb’s comedy set at the Laugh Factory on Sunday and decided to confront him in front of the whole audience.
According to TMZ, Rawlings went on stage before Corey Holcomb, and once Holcomb got on stage he began to ramble about how Rawlings is a “mild” comedian and even took some shots at Dave Chappelle. While speaking with TMZ, Rawlings stated that he wasn’t going to sit there and let Holcomb talk about his close friend, Dave Chappelle. If you remember the two were on the “Chappelle Show” back in the day, so Rawlings made it a statement to have his friend’s back.
In the footage obtained by TMZ as well, you can see Holcomb calling him a mild comedian and a lame funny man. Holcomb also had some words to say about Rawlings’ street cred. Which led Rawlings to go off in front of the audience. During his conversation with the news outlet, he explained why he got so mad in the clip that is currently surfacing on social media. Stating that, Holcomb also allegedly said that anyone in comedy who has 3 movies or more under their belt has had to perform fellatio on someone in the biz. Overall the reason Rawlings says he got so upset is because he felt insulted and didn’t like hearing his friend being insulted as well.
Corey Holcomb has been coming at a lot of comedians in the game but especially Donell Rawlings. In a previous podcast, Holcomb explained how he felt like Rawlings wasn’t funny and wasn’t a legend in the game.
The footage cuts off mid-argument, but Rawlings explained to TMZ that he decided to walk away from the situation before things out of hand.
He did say that he would be down to have a conversation with Holcomb but it would have to be in a more calm setting in hopes of settling their differences one day.
