On the heels of former U.S. President Donald Trump making history as the first president to ever be charged with a crime, his attorney is speaking out after his indictment, and so is the attorney for former porn star Stormy Daniels.
Donald Trump’s Attorney Says ‘He Did Not Commit Any Crime’ Upon Indictment, While Stormy Daniels’ Attorney Condemns Him, ‘No One Is Above The Law’
As previously reported, Donald Trump is being charged role his role in an alleged hush money payment scheme, allegedly involving Stormy Daniels.
On Thursday (March 30), after a grand jury in Manhattan, New York voted to indict Trump in the alleged scheme, Trump lashed out and said, “This is political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history.”
Additionally, his attorney, Joseph “Joe” Tacopina also released a statement. He said, “President Trump has been indicted. He did not commit any crime. We will vigorously fight this political prosecution in court.”

Trump’s charges have not been made public yet, however, the indictment has been in the works for months.
The investigation revealed that hush money payments were reportedly made to two women who claimed to have had sex with Trump, around the time of his 2016 presidential bid/election. Trump has continued to deny any affairs or accusations of hush money being offered.
In addition to Trump’s attorney speaking out, Clark Brewster, the attorney for former adult entertainer Stormy Daniels has also released statement. taking to Twitter, he wrote, “The indictment of Donald Trump is no cause for joy. The hard work and conscientiousness of the grand jurors must be respected. Now let truth and justice prevail. No one is above the law.”
Responding to the tweet, Daniels wrote, “Thank you.”
Meanwhile, Michael Cohen, who served as Trump’s lawyer form 2006 to 2018, also released a statement.
Cohen said, “The New York Times,’ reports that Cohen said, “For the first time in our Country’s history, a President (current or former) of the United States has been indicted. I take no pride in issuing this statement and wish to also remind everyone of the presumption of innocence; as provided by the due process clause. Now that the charges have been filed, it is better for the case to let the indictment speak for itself. The two things I wish to say at this time is that accountability matters and I stand by my testimony and the evidence I have provided to DANY.”
