Oop, Donnie’s mad, y’all! President Donald Trump is threatening to sue host Trevor Noah for “incorrectly” insinuating and suggesting that the current president and former President Bill Clinton spent time on late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s island.
On Sunday (February 1), Noah made the suggesting while hosting the 68th Annual Grammy Awards. While congratulating Billie Eilish’s win for “Song Of The Year,” Noah said:
“Song Of The Year. Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants. Almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense, I mean, because Epstein’s island is gone. He needs a new one to hang out with Bill Clinton. So…”
While reacting to the crowd roaring over his comments, Noah said, “Oh, I told you this is my last year. What are you gonna do about it?”
To note, after 54 years of partnership with CBS, the Recording Academy is taking The Grammy Awards to Disney. Last year, they announced a 10-year deal for the ceremony to be broadcast across ABC, Hulu, and Disney+. With the network change, Noah is also out of a job.
Following Trevor Noah’s comments, Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform, at 1 a.m. EST, and fired off on the host. He said:
“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$. Ask Little George Slopadopolus [Stephanopoulos], and others, how that all worked out. Also ask CBS! Get ready Noah, I’m going to have some fun with you! President DJT.”
