Donald Trump Says It’s ‘Patriotic’ To Wear A Mask To ‘Defeat The Invisible China Virus’
President Donald Trump had not only shocked the world when he finally put on a mask, but now follows the moment by claiming it’s “patriotic” to wear a mask in the effort to “defeat the Invisible China Virus.”
After months of downplaying the importance of face coverings, Trump took to his Twitter to post a photo of himself wearing a mask, and captioning it, “We are United in our effort to defeat the Invisible China Virus, and many people say that it is Patriotic to wear a face mask when you can’t socially distance. There is nobody more Patriotic than me, your favorite President!”

Furthermore, during a press conference that followed, a reporter asked White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany why Trump tweeted the photo then was seen in public without a mask. She responded by saying he believes it’s encouraged, but not required and that he is “the most tested man in America.”
