Turns out Donald Trump might be getting the same side-eye at home that the internet gives him at his rallies…

While speaking at the House GOP Member Retreat this Tuesday, Trump decided to air out a little marital feedback, revealing that his wife, Melania Trump, is not a fan of two very specific Trump staples: his rally dancing and his on-stage weightlifter impression.

According to Trump, Melania has made it very clear she’s not here for the theatrics. “My wife hates when I do this. She’s a very classy person, right? She said, ‘It’s so unpresidential.’ I said, ‘but I did become president’ … She said, ‘Darling please, the weight-lifting is terrible.’”

Whew. Not “darling please” in front of everybody…

But she didn’t stop there. Trump went on to say that Melania feels the same way about his now-viral dance moves, the ones that have become a regular feature at his rallies and events.

He added that Melania also says his dancing is “unpresidential.” He continued, “She hates when I dance. She actually said, ‘Can you imagine FDR dancing?’”

More On Their Relationship:

If you’ve been paying attention over the years, the dynamic between Donald Trump and Melania Trump has always felt… off. Public appearances often come with stiff body language, limited affection, and that signature Melania stare that says everything without saying anything.

From hand-holding hesitations to moments where she’s visibly pulling away, the vibe has consistently leaned more corporate partnership than fairy-tale marriage. Even during major political milestones, Melania’s presence has often felt obligatory rather than enthusiastic, fueling years of speculation about how connected they actually are behind closed doors.

What makes it even more awkward is how openly Trump talks about her disapproval, like this latest moment where he casually admits she hates his dancing and on-stage antics. It’s giving “we don’t debrief before speeches.” Their relationship has long come across as two people living very separate emotional lives, occasionally intersecting for public duty.

Trump thrives on attention and spectacle, while Melania has always presented herself as reserved, polished, and visibly uncomfortable with chaos. The contrast has never blended smoothly, and moments like this just confirm what folks have suspected for years: whatever they are, they are not on the same wavelength.
