Donald Trump Orders Deployment Of Troops To Portland — Says He’s Authorizing ‘Full Force’

Welp, Portland just got bumped to the top of Donald Trump’s hit list.

In a move that’s already firing up backlash, the president announced he’s deploying troops to the Oregon city… and hinted that he’s ready to go all-in if things get messy.

“I am directing Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, to provide all necessary Troops to protect War ravaged Portland, and any of our ICE Facilities under siege from attack by Antifa, and other domestic terrorists,” Trump posted on Truth Social early Saturday. “I am also authorizing Full Force, if necessary.”

This marks the fourth time Trump has sent troops onto U.S. streets, following earlier deployments to L.A., D.C., and Memphis.

Meanwhile, Portland’s Democratic mayor, Keith Wilson, isn’t having it.

“I have not asked for – and do not need – federal intervention,” Wilson said, doubling down on his earlier stance.

So far, Trump hasn’t said whether it’ll be National Guard boots on the ground or regular military. Either way, it’s clear he wants to make a statement especially with the ICE facility in Portland becoming a flashpoint.

As many are aware, protests there have been steady, sometimes spiraling into chaos. A guillotine even showed up at one of the demonstrations earlier this month; something the Department of Homeland Security labeled “unhinged behavior.”

Trump’s been eyeing Portland for weeks. Back in early September, he compared living in the city to being in a warzone…

“Like living in hell,” he said at the time, hinting he might send troops if things didn’t calm down. He’s made similar threats toward Chicago and Baltimore.

Portland might not be the last stop.
With Trump stepping up his law-and-order playbook and labeling protest zones as “war ravaged,” cities across the country could be next in line.
