During his speech at the New York State Republican Party fundraiser, he said Cuomo had real problems and claimed he along with New York City mayor Bill de Blasio “destroyed New York.” He also believes if Cuomo is impeached for the sexual harassment case, a Republican governor will take over in his place. Senate Republican minority leader, Robert Ortt, will participate in the impeachment trial if the assembly decides to reach that step.
‘It’s going to be a hot couple of weeks in Albany. Senator Ortt is going to have a great time. Cuomo has found himself in an interesting situation.’
Trump also criticized Cuomo’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic and said he didn’t utilize the USS Comfort when it was sent over to ease the overwhelming number of hospitalizations during the lockdown.

However, the former president didn’t get into the case any further and urged the 500 guests to get vaccinated. By the end of the night, $1 million was raised for the state Republican committee. He also called up Rudy Guiliani to speak and discuss the increasing crime rate in New York.
