Donald Trump criticized a reporter for asking a “stupid” question insinuating that he wasn’t taking his election campaign seriously.
As we previously shared, the former president, made the announcement during a press conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday that he had agreed to three televised debates with Kamala Harris in September. Following his speech, Trump accepted questions from reporters on a range of topics including campaigning, Kamala Harris, Elon Musk, AR-15s, and other pressing issues.

One reporter asked, “You haven’t held a public event in nearly a week” before claiming “Some of your allies have expressed concern that you are not taking this race seriously-”. Trump then interjected and said “What a stupid question this is.” before the journalist asked why he hadn’t been on his campaign trial.
Trump and his team have criticized Harris for not participating in a media interview since becoming the Democratic nominee. “I anticipate the debates as an opportunity to clarify the record,” he remarked. Previously, Trump had canceled a debate scheduled for September 10 with ABC News because it had initially been planned with Biden. Harris had agreed to participate in that debate once she replaced Biden as the nominee.

However, the former president has now agreed to face Harris on the debate stage, a decision that coincides with Harris gaining ground in the polls. A recent national poll released on Thursday shows Harris leading Trump, and in several battleground states, the two are in a close race.
