Wall Street Journal writer Michael Bender revealed in his new book ‘Frankly We Did Win This Election: The Inside Story On How Donald Trump Lost”, how Trump made the last-minute decision to change the date of his Tulsa rally. His former campaign manager Brad Parscale booked the event on Juneteenth and was allegedly unaware of his error. The Secret Service agent later informed Trump that it was very offensive to him to host the rally on that day.
“No one on Parscale’s team flagged that day—or that combination of time and place—as potentially problematic,” Bender wrote. According to The Hill, Trump claimed last year that he was the one who made the commemorative day famous after the rally’s original date went public.
