Former President Donald Trump is not only blaming migrants for causing the crippling housing crisis in America, but he also reveals his presidential plan to ban illegal immigrants from renting apartments or accusing mortgages.
At his recent rally in Tucson, Arizona, Trump claimed that if he’s reelected as President in the 2024 election, he will ban illegal immigrants from securing apartments and homes in America.
On Thursday (September 12), Donald Trump not only continued his fear-mongering and hateful comments about Haitian immigrants and other migrants allegedly stealing Americans’ pets and eating them, but he also announced his plans to prohibit illegal immigrants from successfully living in America.
In front of a backdrop that read “Make Housing Affordable Again,” Trump claimed that the rising cost of housing in America was due to an “invasion” of undocumented migrants encouraged and welcomed by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ current Administration.
He said, “As the people of Arizona understand better than anyone else, under Kamala Harris, our country is under a thing called invasion. We’re being conquered and we’re being occupied by a foreign element.”

Trump continued to claim that migrants are disproportionately occupying low-income rental properties, and if he’s re-elected he would make all companies offering subsidized housing require proof of citizenship of their tenants and he would ban mortgages for undocumented migrants. He said, “None of them are paying a lot of rent, I can tell you that because a lot of those people are people that shouldn’t be here.”
As mentioned, Trump also repeated his wild comments alleging Haitian migrants are eating citizens’ pets in Springfield, Ohio. This claim was notably debunked by Springfield’s own city manager, however, Trump continues to spread the misinformation online and at his rallies. He continued by promising to start “the biggest deportation operation in the history of our country” if reelected. The audience immediately roared in cheers and chants, screaming out, “USA” and “Trump.”
