According to Business Insider, the new account, called @DJTDesk, was created in May and said in its bio that it contained “Posts copied from Save America on behalf of the 45th POTUS; Originally composed via https://DonaldJTrump.com/Desk. *Note: Not Donald J. Trump Tweeting.” Twitter eventually caught wind of the new account and suspended former President Donald Trump’s latest attempt to get back on the social media site.

In a statement to Insider, a Twitter spokesperson said, “As stated in our ban evasion policy, we’ll take enforcement action on accounts whose apparent intent is to replace or promote content affiliated with a suspended account.”

As we previously reported, Twitter originally booted Trump from the site following the Jan. 6 US Capitol insurrection, in which 5 people died. The social-media platform explained that they took down his account down “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.” Other social media platforms including Facebook followed suit.

Trump, has yet to make an official statement about this. Until then, let us know your thoughts on this in the comment box below?
