Don Lemon is throwing petty energy right back at Nicki Minaj, and he is absolutely not holding back.

Don Lemon has been making headlines over his recent coverage of a Minnesota church protest by demonstrators on Jan. 18. As we previously reported, Lemon was doing what he normally does as a journalist, interviewing people on the scene. Protesters entered Cities Church mid-service, demanding the removal of federal immigration authorities and calling attention to the killing of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who was fatally shot earlier this month in Minneapolis by ICE agent Jonathan Ross. Lemon went inside and interviewed some of the participants, as well as the pastor of the church.

Still, he was widely attacked online, even by Nicki Minaj, who has repeatedly called for his arrest. In the process, she used a homophobic slur, calling him a “c*ck sucker.” Well, Don Lemon has responded to the rapper, even going as far as suggesting the Trinidadian-born star be deported. But he wasn’t done yet.

In a new episode of The Don Lemon Show, Lemon had way more to say and pulled out an old Mariah Carey clip to help him finish the job.

The former CNN anchor has reportedly been put “on notice” by the DOJ over a video of him covering anti-ICE protesters interrupting a church gathering in Minnesota.

However, Lemon doesn’t seem too fazed. He released a statement that read:

“It’s notable that I’ve been cast as the face of a protest I was covering as a journalist — especially since I wasn’t the only reporter there. That framing is telling,” Lemon told Fox News Digital in a statement. “What’s even more telling is the barrage of violent threats, along with homophobic and racist slurs, directed at me online by MAGA supporters and amplified by parts of the right-wing press.”

“If this much time and energy is going to be spent manufacturing outrage, it would be far better used investigating the tragic death of Renee Nicole Good — the very issue that brought people into the streets in the first place,” Lemon continued. “I stand by my reporting.”
