Doja Cat has reportedly lost a whopping 200k followers after scolding “Stranger Things” star Noah Schnapp for sharing messages she sent in his DMs. If you recall, the “Need To Know” singer went on Instagram Live last week, saying she “didn’t feel comfortable” when Noah put out their private conversation, which saw Doja asking the 17-year-old whether he could set her up with his co-star Joseph Quinn.
She described his actions as “socially aware and whack,” before accusing the actor of behaving like a “snake.” Doja, as per Newsweek, told her fans, “But the fact that Noah did that, like went and posted a private conversation between me and him is so unbelievably like socially unaware and whack. That’s like borderline snake s**t. That’s like weasel s**t.”

Well, it appears as if not everyone who was following the Grammy winner at the time of her Instagram Live was agreeing with her, as Social Blade’s analytics showed that Doja’s follower count decreased from 24.34 million to 24.14 million shortly after her comments. Noah, on the other hand, saw his followers skyrocket from 24.25 million to 25.17 million.
Further during her IG Live, the “Woman” vocalist detailed why she didn’t appreciate seeing her messages being shared online, insisting that Noah, who is only 17, was too to be held accountable for doing “dumb sh**.” But she certainly wanted him to learn from this incident that publicly outing private conversations was certainly not okay.
“First, let’s try to be chill about it,” Doja started off saying. “To be fair, this is like a kid. Noah, I don’t know how old he is, but he’s not even like over 21. When you’re that young, you make mistakes, you do dumb s**t. I’m trying to be super fair.
“You do dumb s**t, you say dumb s**t. You f**k up relationships with people. You make mistakes. You’re supposed to do stuff like that so that you know not to do it in the future. I did my share of f**k-ups so that I don’t f**k up again.”
She continued, “I’m not saying that encapsulates his entire personality. I wouldn’t imagine he is. Maybe he is, like a whole snake. But I didn’t see him that way. I made an assumption that he was gonna be chill about it and he went and shared information that I didn’t feel comfortable with him sharing.”

It was just two months ago when Doja announced she would be pulling out of The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour as she recovered from tonsil surgery. The unexpected medical emergency meant she would not be ready to commit to any of the 2022 concert dates, nor would she be able to perform her set at UK’s Wireless Festival, which concluded last weekend.

“Hi guys, I wanted you to hear it from me first,” Doja shared in a lengthy message on Instagram. “Unfortunately I have to have surgery on my tonsils ASAP. The surgery is routine but the recovery is going to take awhile due to swelling.
“That means I have to cancel my festival run this summer as well as The Weeknd tour. I feel horrible about this but can’t wait for this to heal and get back to making music and create an experience for y’all.”
