Lucy Mourad,24, from Washington States, shared that she started to feel ill after eating Buldak ramen every week for six months. She experienced severe back pain, severe back pain, blood in her urine, and visible urinary crystals, all symptoms that led to an emergency room visit and a diagnosis of kidney stones. Urologist Dr. David Shusterman explained to the Daily Mail that the excessive salt and different spices in the ramen noodle product could increase the risk of kidney stones.
Dr. Shusterman said that the spices can elevate oxalate levels in the urine and each serving of the spicy noodles contains approximately 1,280 milligrams of sodium, which is half the daily intake recommended by the USDA, set at a maximum of 2,300 milligrams. Buldak ramen, which comes in flavors such as “Rakisoba Hot Chicken” and “Carbonara Hot Chicken,” have become a staple in households as it continues to grow in popularity.

”Finally someone is posting the effects. I ended up in the hospital too! And also have Acid reflux and IBS now. On a very limiting diet.”
Approximately 11 percent of men and six percent of women in the United States suffer from kidney stones as least once during their lifetime. Kidney stones can be removed via surgery or a procedure to break up the stones using an instrument inserted into the tube through which urine exits the body. However, kidney stones can also be caused by dehydration as the urine becomes more concrentated.
Some ways to prevent kidney are reducing your sodium intake and moderate consuming moderate oxalate-rich foods like spinach and sweet potatoes if you’re prone to calcium oxlate stones.
