DMX’s former manager Steve Rifkin said the memorial will be held on Saturday, April 24 in Brooklyn, and the final planning for the event is still in the works. One of those plans is figuring out to distribute tickets and the limited capacity of guests which includes the rapper’s friends, family, and fans due to the pandemic. A private memorial service for family and friends is scheduled for the following day on April 25 at a local church.

Although Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano granted permission for the family to use the raceway for the memorial, he says there are still ideas on how to preserve DMX’s memory. According to TMZ, this includes a statue or a street named after him in his neighborhood.
