The kidnapping took place at a South Salt Lake gas station where the woman is seen running through a parking lot as the suspect is chasing after her. According to MSN, witnesses said they heard the woman screaming for help and approached a pickup truck driver for help. Although the male suspect catches up to her, the woman tries to hide under the pickup truck but she gets dragged from underneath as the driver watches.

Moments later, the male suspect picks up the woman as she continues to appear to scream and kick for help and he throws her into a red SUV before driving away from the scene. Police later identified him as 22-year-old Carl Gravitt and added that he and the victim were dating for eight months.
