The incident took place Thursday at the DeSoto ISD in Dallas where a male student and several others were involved in an altercation with the substitute teacher. One of the videos was uploaded by a concerned parent who said her children will not return to the school next year due to safety concerns. “DESOTO ISD IS GARBAGE! THEY HAVE NO CONTROL OVER THESE KIDS. THIS IS CURRENTLY GOING ON IN MY DAUGHTER’S CLASS. I FEEL SO HORRIBLE FOR THIS TEACHER, TODAY YOUTH IS OUT OF CONTROL! MY KIDS WILL NOT BE RETURNING NEXT SCHOOL YEAR!” she wrote on Facebook. The parent also said the school had a similar incident last week where staff members were fighting amongst students and teachers.
Another clip showed the male teacher bleeding from the head and throwing chairs in the classroom but police said the video doesn’t show any events leading up to the altercation.

The district’s former superintendent, Dr. Weaver, resigned from the position last year and Dr. Larry Lewis is currently position as the DeSoto ISD Interim Superintendent.
In a statement, the district said the video does not reflect the overall school system, and all individuals involved will be held accountable.
