The naked suspect was found in the early hours of April 7 in DeBary when the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call about a burglary in process. Deputies later identified him as Blake Tokman, and he was seen fleeing the scene in the backyard of a home he was accused of breaking into. Tokman jumped into a pool as an officer chased him and ran towards a trampoline.
Officers said he jumped onto the trampoline and pretended to play dead, as reported by TOO FAB; the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said that Tokman was resisting arrest, and another said he was slippery during the arrest attempt.

They also said he smelled like toothpaste and later noted that he was covered in wheel-bearing grease, peppermint oil, and blood.
“Deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a home on Highbanks Road in DeBary around 2 a.m. Friday. It was discovered the suspect, eventually identified as 34-year-old Blake Tokman (DOB 5/8/1988), had smashed out the windows of one house to make entry, then left and broke into another home.”

Additionally, deputies said Tokman appeared to be under the influence during the arrest, and it took four deputies to restrain him.
“Tokman appeared to be under the influence of unknown substances. [It took] four deputies to get him into custody, plus three more medical professionals to secure him on a stretcher for evaluation and treatment of injuries he caused himself.”
He was accused of kicking three of the deputies, and one of them claims they sustained a laceration in the arm. He was charged with two counts of occupied burglary, two counts of mischief, and resisting arrest with violence. Tokman received a medical evaluation and treatment before he was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
Tokman has a previous criminal record where he has been over arrested over 11 times from 2017 to January 20. He was recently released from jail on March 14.
Facebook users also commented on the case and had various opinions about Tokman’s bizarre arrest. One user said, “The level of ridiculousness LEO has to deal with never ceases to amaze me. Wow! Great job, and thank you!”
“Sounds like a scene out of The Hangover,” another wrote.
“..Dang, the whole “Florida Man” thing is tough to deny whe you see stuff like this. Had to be naked and covered in bearing grease, didn’t he… Hat’s off to those Deputies; that does not look like any fun whatsoever”
