Disney World Announces Reopening Date Of July 11 Amidst Coronavirus
Walt Disney World in Florida is ready to reopen its doors amidst coronavirus pandemic, with a scheduled date of July 11, 2020, and reopening Epcot and Hollywood Studios on July 15, 2020.
The new safety plans to reopen the parks need approval from Gov. Ron DeSantis. The new plans include a soft opening where only select guests will be allowed to attend at first to test out the new safety procedures.
Goodbye to the old world, and hello to the new normal! Disney World would implement numerous procedures, including required face coverings for guests and employees, barriers for social distancing, more frequent cleaning, and temperature checks.

“We believe our reopening plan reflects a very thoughtful, methodical and phased approach,” said Jim McPhee, senior vice president of operations at Walt Disney World.
As of now, there has been no word on plans to open Disneyland in California.
On Monday (May 4), Shanghai Disneyland park sold out of tickets in three minutes on its first day open since shuttering for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis on January 25. We wonder if Florida will have the same energy!
