The error was discovered by a TikToker named Kelsey, who said she saw something ‘frightening’ while watching the latest Disney+ movie. While watching the film, Kelsey noticed that the entire row of people was CGI during a scene featuring the high school cheer team during a basketball game, as reported by Daily Mail.

After noticing the uncanny effects, TikTok users said they were also scared of the CGI extras in the row. One user wrote, “How does that happen, like idc if it’s covid reasons im certain it would be less costly to simply hire more extras than use cgi 💀.”

Another TikToker said they worked background for the movie and had no clue they would use CGI people to fill out the empty row. “I DID BACKGROUND FOR THIS SHOOT I DIDNT KNOW THEY WOULD EDIT MORE PEOPLE,” they wrote.

Like any form of media, Disney films are not immune to errors. Here are a few examples:

  1. In “Aladdin,” during the scene where Jasmine is trapped in Jafar’s hourglass, her hair changes from being tied up to loose and flowing, then back to being tied up again.
  2. In “The Lion King,” during the scene where Simba and Nala reunite as adults, Nala’s eyes briefly turn green instead of their usual blue.
  3. In “Beauty and the Beast,” during the scene where Belle and Beast are dancing, Belle’s dress changes from gold to light yellow and back to gold again.
  4. In “The Little Mermaid,” during the scene where Ariel is singing “Part of Your World,” her seashell bra disappears and reappears.

There was a controversial editing error in the original VHS and Laserdisc releases of “The Little Mermaid.” During the wedding scene between Prince Eric and Vanessa (who is actually Ursula in disguise), a bishop is seen with what appears to be an erect penis under his robe. The image appears for a split second and is very subtle, but it caused controversy and backlash when it was discovered by parents who had purchased the film for their children.

Disney claimed that the image was not intentional and was inserted by a rogue animator without their knowledge. They recalled the affected copies of the film and released a version without the controversial image. The error has since become a well-known urban legend and has been discussed in various media outlets.

These errors are usually minor and do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the films.
