Disgraced ‘Cheer’ Star Jerry Harris Hit With New Charges In Child Pornography Case
After being denied bond in October, disgraced ‘Cheer‘ star Jerry Harris, 21, has now been hit with new charges in his child pornography case after federal prosecutors filed additional charges on Thursday (Dec. 10).
The Netflix docuseries star is now facing seven new counts, including: receiving and attempting to receive child pornography; and four counts of using, persuading, inducing, and enticing a minor “to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing a visual depiction of such conduct, and … transmitting a live visual depiction of such conduct.”
Six of Harris’ charges are in relation to his alleged abuse of five minors in both Naperville, Illinois and Corsicana, Texas. Additionally, Harris also faces an additional count for using the internet in Florida to “persuade, induce, and entice” a minor to engage in sexual activity. It’s reported that Harris allegedly traveled from Texas to Florida “for the purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct … with intent to engage in a sexual act with Minor 5 who was 15 years old.”
As we previously reported, in September Harris was arrested by the FBI agents and charged with sexual exploitation of children after an investigation proved he solicited photos and sex from minors.
