According to insiders who spoke with TMZ, city officials in Miami Beach are in the final stages of discussions to revoke Diddy’s Key to The City. Although the insiders indicate that Diddy’s key will soon be revoked, the exact date for this official decision remains uncertain because Hurricane Milton is approaching Florida.

If you remember, in 2015, Diddy was awarded the honorary key to the city of Miami Beach by former mayor Philip Levine during the Revolt Music Conference held at the Fontainebleau.

In June, Diddy returned the Key to the City of New York after Mayor Eric Adams requested its return in a letter, referencing the video of the assault involving Cassie. Since that incident, Diddy’s situation has deteriorated further, and now his legacy is facing yet another blow.

Before making the final decision of taking away the key, Eric Adams was asked about his thoughts on the assault video. “I think all of us were deeply disturbed by watching that chilling video of the young lady being assaulted by him. The committee and the team have never rescinded a key before, but we are now sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be.”

Last year on Friday, September 15, Diddy received the keys to New York City, coinciding with the release of his first studio album in 17 years. During the ceremony, the Mayor lauded him as “the embodiment of the New York City spirit.” He emphasized Diddy’s journey as a son of Harlem who rose to prominence as a successful artist both on stage and behind the scenes, noting that despite his achievements, Sean has always remained connected to his roots.
