Diddy’s Friend Claims The Mogul “Woke Up With A Knife To His Throat” During Prison Attack
Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly faced a terrifying moment behind bars after allegedly surviving a violent attack in his prison cell. According to his longtime friend Charlucci Finney, the Bad Boy Records founder “woke up with a knife to his throat” while being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
Finney told the Daily Mail on Wednesday that the incident was real and deeply concerning. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came,” he shared, “I just know that it happened.”
While Finney didn’t specify when the incident occurred, he hinted that it might have been a threat more than an actual attempt to harm the hip-hop mogul. “If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed,” he explained. “It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him.”
Finney added that the chilling act seemed to be a form of intimidation. “It was probably a way to say: ‘Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky.’ Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem.”
The friend described Diddy as “unbreakable,” adding that he remains “a lovable caregiver, a father, brother [and] best friend.”
Diddy’s Faith and Harlem Roots Keeping Him Grounded
Finney spoke with deep pride about the man he’s known for over 30 years, explaining that the mogul’s Harlem upbringing built his resilience. “Everything Sean’s been through, he takes it and turns it into something powerful,” Finney said. “He’s been knocked down before, but he always gets up.”
The 55-year-old music icon, known for his business empire and groundbreaking contributions to hip-hop culture, is reportedly staying positive through meditation and faith. Those close to him say Diddy believes this is another test of strength—and that he’ll make it through with his head high.
Finney emphasized, “He’ll come out of this still being Sean Combs. Ain’t nothing breaking him.”
Details Of Diddy’s Ongoing Legal Battle
Combs has been incarcerated since his September 2024 arrest on serious federal charges including sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution. His high-profile case has drawn national attention, as the once-untouchable mogul faces a reckoning unlike any he’s seen in his decades-long career.
In July 2025, Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, a verdict that shocked many in the music industry. His legal team has been working on an appeal, maintaining that the prosecution’s narrative is exaggerated and politically charged.
Finney, however, said Diddy remains focused on surviving one day at a time. “Prison isn’t built for a man like Sean,” he explained. “But he’s not letting it break him either. He’s keeping his spirit alive.”
