A federal judge in New York dismissed a civil lawsuit on Wednesday that had been brought against Sean “Diddy” Combs. The lawsuit was filed by a man, then 39 years old, who alleged that Combs sexually assaulted him during a house party in 2022.

The plaintiff, who has chosen to remain anonymous claimed he attended the party with friends and consumed alcohol provided by other guests. “After consuming the drink, Plaintiff began to feel disoriented and began to lose control of his body and to lose consciousness,” the lawsuit read in part. The man also stated that when he came to his senses “he was in a dark bedroom with black walls, on a bed with black sheets. Everything around him was dark. Plaintiff was horrified to find Combs on top of him, sodomizing him.”

On Wednesday, the judge noted that the plaintiff did not obtain the court’s approval to file under the pseudonym John Doe. As a result, she dismissed the case because “such a proceeding must be commenced as a miscellaneous case with leave from the Court to proceed using a pseudonym.”

All of the lawsuits brought against Combs by Houston-based personal injury lawyer Tony Buzbee feature anonymous plaintiffs.

This week, an anonymous plaintiff with ties to Combs filed a lawsuit against Buzbee, alleging that he and his firm engaged in extortion.

Another individual has come forward, claiming he was an actor in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He alleges that Combs and others sexually assaulted him after enticing him to New York with the promise of a potential role in a music video.

The man reported that he was served a soda that had been tampered with, which led to him losing consciousness.

“His vision was blurry, but he recognized Combs’ chest tattoo and the large gold chain with a jeweled cross on it that Combs wore during the interview. Plaintiff tried to fight him off, but felt dizzy and sick whenever he tried to move. Additionally, Combs’ bodyguard was holding Plaintiff down by the arms,” the lawsuit said.

In a statement to ABC News on Tuesday, Combs’ legal team responded to the lawsuit against Buzbee, stating, “The extortion lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee exposes his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: shameless publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear having lies spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.”
