He wrote on Twitter, “In efforts to keep everyone safe and healthy… Unfortunately, we are not having a NYE party this year!” The 51-year-old added, “I hope everyone had a blessed holiday and wish you all the best for the new year!” He also said on Instagram, “ATTENTION: THIS IS TO EVERYONE, ALL OF MY FRIENDS & FAMILY… I’M NOT CHANGING MY MIND … SEE YOU ALL IN 2021! LOVE YOU!”

Diddy’s New Year’s Eve party is usually filled with hundreds of people and many A-list celebs and influencers. Last year’s list included Fat Joe, Winnie Harlow, Meek Mill, and Jonathan Cheban, according to TMZ. While some expressed that they are sad to hear that the pandemic has caused another big event to be canceled, most people praised Diddy for being responsible and thinking of other people’s health and safety first.

Other celebrities are planning to host a virtual NYE celebration. Rapper Soulja Boy happens to be one of them.
