Pink recently responded to allegations that she swiped her X account clean after the arrest of Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Following Combs’ arrest in New York City on September 16, amid ongoing lawsuits related to sex trafficking and sexual assault, fans started to wonder if several celebrities, Pink included, took down their posts on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to the allegations against him.

On September 26, the “Raise Your Glass” artist took to Instagram to address the swirling rumors. She shared a screenshot of a post from February 6 on her X account, which explained that she had removed it.  “This account will self destruct in two minutes,” she wrote at the time. “Do it!!!!!!” In a follow up post Pink wrote, “I don’t know why I became a headline this week, but I wiped my Twitter account on February 6!!!There is no truth to the rumors spread this week, and while I’ve met people in passing, I’m not associated with any of the people mentioned,” added the Grammy winner stated.

Combs was taken into custody at a hotel in New York City on September 16, following an indictment by a grand jury.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams issued a statement after Combs’ arrest, indicating that federal agents apprehended him based on a previously sealed indictment. The following day, the indictment was made public, disclosing that the founder of Bad Boy Records faced charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and facilitating transportation for prostitution.

Prosecutors allege that Combs orchestrated events referred to as “freak offs,” which they claim involved sex performances featuring male sex workers and women who were reportedly pressured or coerced into taking part.

Following the arrest, Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated to PEOPLE that his client is “an innocent individual with nothing to conceal.”

“We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office,” Agnifilo said. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but he is not a criminal.”
