Federal Judge Dismisses Diddy Lawsuit Naming Druski And Odell Beckham Jr.
A federal judge in California has dismissed a lawsuit that named Sean “Diddy” Combs, comedian Druski, and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. as defendants.
The lawsuit was filed in October 2024 by a woman named Ashley Parham. In the filing, Parham alleged that she was sexually assaulted by the three men at a party in 2018 in Orinda, California.
On Wednesday, the judge ruled that the case could not proceed. According to the court’s decision, none of the defendants were ever properly served with the lawsuit. In addition, the plaintiff failed to secure new legal representation after her attorney withdrew from the case.
Because of these procedural issues, the judge dismissed the lawsuit in its entirety.
As previously reported by Hollywood Unlocked, the lawsuit had drawn public attention due to the high-profile names involved, but the case did not advance to the evidentiary stage.
Failure To Serve Defendants Played Key Role In Dismissal
Court records show that the judge’s decision centered largely on procedural requirements that were not met by the plaintiff.
One of the primary issues cited was the failure to serve legal papers to any of the named defendants. Proper service is required under federal law to formally notify defendants of a lawsuit and allow the case to move forward.
Without proof that Diddy, Druski, or Odell Beckham Jr. were served, the court determined that it did not have the ability to proceed with the case.
In addition to the service issue, the court noted that Ashley Parham missed several court-ordered deadlines. These included deadlines related to securing new legal representation or informing the court of her intention to proceed without an attorney. The judge stated that these missed deadlines were a significant factor in the dismissal.
Attorney Withdrawal And Missed Court Deadlines
Ashley Parham was initially represented by attorney Ariel Mitchell. However, Mitchell withdrew from the case in September.
After the withdrawal, the court granted Parham additional time to find new legal counsel. According to the judge’s ruling, Parham did not meet those deadlines and did not file the necessary paperwork to continue the case on her own.
The court records indicate that multiple extensions were provided, but no further action was taken by the plaintiff within the allotted time frames.
As a result, the judge concluded that dismissal was appropriate based on the lack of prosecution and failure to comply with court requirements.
Defendants Previously Challenged The Allegations
Prior to the dismissal, the defendants publicly challenged the allegations made in the lawsuit.
Odell Beckham Jr. questioned whether he had ever been in Orinda, California, where the alleged incident was said to have occurred.
Druski responded to the claims by stating that he was not a public figure in 2018 and provided financial records indicating that he did not have celebrity status at that time.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has faced multiple lawsuits in recent years, also denied the allegations contained in the filing.
The court did not rule on the merits of the allegations themselves, as the case was dismissed based on procedural grounds.
