Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal is speaking out and claims the Bad Boy founder allegedly wanted to put hands on Will Smith after him and Jada Pinkett Smith “made advances” on Diddy’s then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez.

“We were at a birthday party that I think Matt Damon was giving for Ben Affleck. It was just a little gathering at the Four Seasons,” Deal began. “Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, Puff, Will Smith and Jada were sitting on [one] side of the room.”

“[Puff] stood up. And when he stood up, he walked and did his arms a certain kind of way like [crossing them]. I go over towards him and he said to me, ‘Yo, I think Will and Jada are trying to scoop up Jennifer. I want you to stay close ’cause I’ma snuff him.’” Deal added that he thought the whole situation was hilarious and even hoped Will would get a couple of punches in on Diddy. “I could move slow enough that Will could probably get two or three punches back in,” he remembered thinking, “That shit was funny. He thought that Jada and Will were coming on too strong to Jennifer, making advances.”

Of course his latest comments after Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been in the news lately. As we previously reported, Jada Pinkett Smith released her new memoir today (Tuesday) and dropped some bombshells on the whole world. It was revealed last week that her and Will Smith have been separated for seven years but according Jada the two are focusing on getting their marriage back on track.

Will Smith broke his silence about everything that was being said in the media and he sent an email to The New York Times! The actor admitted that the book woke him up, noting the actress had “lived a life more on the edge than he’d realized, and she is more resilient, clever and compassionate than he’d understood.”

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties,” the Oscar winner wrote.

During Pinkett Smith’s appearance on the “On Purpose with Jay Shetty” podcast, the host also read a letter to her written by Smith.

“I applaud and honor you,” Shetty read the letter in a clip shared by The Associated Press on TikTok and YouTube. “If I had read this book 30 years ago, I definitely would’ve hugged you more.”

“I’ll start now – Welcome to the Authors Club,” the letter continued. “I love you endlessly. Now go get some Merlot and take a rest.”
