Devil Worshipper Allegedly Killed Man While Out on Bond for Another Murder

A self-described devil worshiper reportedly killed a man while out on bond for a different murder.

23-year-old Edward O’Neal was arrested for the murder of Derrick Mike, 39, while out on bond for  the murder of Ryan Roberts, 16.

When he was 18 he admitted to killing his friend Ryan by stabbing him multiple times.

“I told the DA he should not get out. He killed my son, he’ll be killing again,”Roberts’s mother Christina Roberts said per ABC’s KTRK.. “I’m sorry you had to go through this. Justice is going to be served.”

Fast forward to, June 2020, Felony Mental Health Court Judge Mark Kent Ellis lowered O’Neal’s bond to $25,000, and just five months later, he was accused of another murder. He apparently shot 39-year-old Derrick Mike at an apartment complex.

O’Neal’s mother even told investigators that, “He has mental issues and that she is afraid of what else he may do.”

In regards to the low bail amount, The Harris County District Attorney’s Office issued a statement to ABC13

“Our prosecutors told the judge in court that we opposed bond being lowered for this defendant and we twice filed motions asking the judge to set conditions on the defendant’s bond if he were to be released pending trial. We also let the judge know the facts of the original murder, to ensure the court was aware of our concerns for public safety.”
