Social Media Reacts After Viral Photo Shows Cleveland Browns Fan Holding Up A Deshaun Watson Sign During Preseason Game

Two Cleveland Browns fans had some distasteful signs pertaining to Deshaun Watson over the weekend.

In the viral photos that are circulating on Twitter, one fan has “Free Watson” on a sign, while the other has “F*ck them Hoes” as a way of degrading the women who came forward against Watson.

As we previously reported, The N.F.L. quarterback was suspended from 11 games and fined $5 million after 24 women accused him in lawsuits of coercive and wild behavior during massage appointments. He settled 23 of the claims.

Watson issued a public apology in a recent interview with Cleveland News 5 on Friday, the NFL player, 26, publicly made an effort to make amends to the women who have accused him of sexual misconduct during massage sessions.

“I want to say that I’m truly sorry to all the women I’ve impacted in this situation,” Watson said in the pregame show interview with the outlet. “The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position, I would definitely like to have back,” he added, “but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn and show that I am a true person of character and I want to keep pushing forward.”

As we previously reported, Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing all of the women who have filed lawsuits against Watson, released a statement addressing the all lawsuits.

“We have been referred a very compelling case by a respected lawyer from Atlanta. We expect to file that case in due course. And, we have been contacted by another victim who saw the HBO special and was compelled to come forward. We have vetted other calls but haven’t yet made decisions on any further filings beyond that and will continue to do our due diligence consistent with our ethical obligations. With regard to any impending filings, we will allow the facts of the particular cases to speak for themselves.”
