Demi Lovato Reacts To DaBaby’s Controversial Rolling Loud Remarks: “HIV Is Not A Gay Disease”

After fans expressed disappointment in DaBaby for his controversial HIV/ Aids comment at the Rolling Loud Miami festival, it looks like singer Demi Lovato is not here for the rapper either.

As we previously reported, singer Dua Lipa, who collaborated with DaBaby on her remix of the Future Nostalgia song “Levitating,” wrote a response to the rapper’s remarks in an Instagram Story saying, “I’m surprised and horrified at DaBaby’s comments,” the post read. “I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with. I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community. We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

Demi is now following up to share her thoughts on his move. She reposted a photo of Matt Bernstein who had writing on his skin that read, “HIV Is Not A Gay Disease.” In her caption she encouraged her followers to listen to the original version of Dua Lipa’s hit song —- without DaBaby’s verse.

DaBaby has apologized for his comments about people with HIV. He tweeted last night that his comments were “insensitive” adding he had “no intentions on offending anybody” before offering “my apologies”. “Anybody who done ever been [affected] by AIDS/HIV y’all got the right to be upset,” he added.

So far, BoohooMan has become the first brand to end their partnership with the rapper over his comments.
