Deelishis is sarcastically clapping back after her ex-husband Raymond Santana opened up about their failed marriage — three years later — and explained why he chose to divorce his “non-traditional” reality star wife.
Now, Santana — of the Central Park 5, now Exonerated 5 — first met Flavor Flav’s ‘Flavor Of Love’ star in 2019 through Instagram. And soon, a few “likes” turned into husband and wife. But before marriage, Deelishis, full name Chandra London Davis Charles, claimed Santana kept her in the friend zone for two months before taking things further.
Which is understandable as he had just received a $41 million wrongful-conviction settlement from New York City in 2016. And then in 2019, the same year he met Deelishis, he received an additional $500,000 payout. So, this only fueled speculation about their then-budding relationship with people questioning their love from the start.
Nevertheless, Raymond and Deelishis wed in 2020. But less than two years later, they called it quits on their marriage. By November 2021, they were reportedly separated. In March 2022, Deelishis went public with her grievances, labeling Santana a “liar,” “narcissist,” and a “cheat.” A day later, news broke that Santana filed for divorce. Court docs cited the marriage was “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
Raymond Santana Opens Up About Divorcing His ‘Non-Traditional’ Reality Star Wife Deelishis 3 Years Ago
Nearly four years after divorce, Santana is reflecting on his failed union with Deelishis. On Emanny Salgado‘s ‘All Eyes On E‘ podcast, also joined by Marc Lamont Hill, Santana recalled divorcing his “untraditional” reality star wife. He said:
“I had to understand when it was over, it was over. And I think that was the realist thing with me and her, when she came to me and said, ‘It’s hard being your wife. I have to be somebody who I’m not.'”
Hill then asked Santana what he meant by Deelishis being something she wasn’t. He clarified:
“Well, a wife. I’m more traditional. She’s not traditional. I didn’t ask her to make a lot of changes, but it comes to a certain point in your life with maturity that you make those changes on your own. And if I’m still growing and I don’t see you growing, and the kids are growing that are with us, then that doesn’t look right, you’re not a good example.”

Deelishis took to Hollywood Unlocked’s comment section and blasted her ex. She wrote:
“You would think after 3 years divorced a person would either speak the truth or say nothing at all … but hey what do I know 😌 but just to wrap this sideshow up quick ‘I did everything he said I did. I was a disgusting horrible wife and an even worse Mom. He suffered horribly the entire time. He couldn’t take my ‘non traditional’ childish behavior any longer. He put his foot down, packed his amazing bags & left! The end.’ May God forgive me and may God give him peace and comfort and a bright new journey.🤝”
A social user tried to school Deelishis, but she shut it down. The user wrote:
“@iamsodeelishis Marriage is about compromising. However as time and things evolve so do people… If you want a marriage to work you just can’t give up on each other. However the mom part is crazy. I don’t know you personally but nobody as ever questioned your parenting …”
Deelishis replied:
“Thank you love but none of it is true lol I was being sarcastic but if I’m being honest, I don’t really care to analyze marriage nor being married to him any further. I was only clarifying that it’s over and done so let’s discuss something more relevant like the Epstein files or the gun laws in America or the crazy cost of healthcare.”
Elsewhere, sports journalist Jemele Hill also commented on HU’s post and pointed out the obvious to Santana. She wrote, “You married a reality star… and you’re surprised she’s ‘not traditional?’ Ok buddy …”
