Netflix’s new film ‘We Have A Ghost’ may sound like a scary movie, but it’s a feel-good family movie with a little bit of murder mystery involved.

Hollywood Unlocked was on the red carpet for the premiere of the film at the Netflix campus in Hollywood talking to all the stars about what fans can expect.

For Anthony Mackie stepping into this role was new as it was his first time playing a father, Frank, who as fans will see in the movie is doing everything in his power to keep his family together. “I think of myself as the best dad, so in this movie, I keep the best dad level up at 10,” Mackie said about Frank who in the film takes to social media as the “cool dad” to not only bring money into their broken home but gain the respect from his sons as he “exploits” the ghost in their house.

As for Jahi Winston, he steps in as the youngest son of the Presley family, Kevin, who discovers Ernest the ghost, played by David Harbour, in their family’s new home and decides that he wants to help Ernest find out what happened to him. Befriending Ernest through the use of music, Jahi, and his best friend,  Joy, played by Isabella Russo, go on a mission to help Ernest piece together his life before his death, while also stopping a group of FBI agents and ghost hunters from capturing them.

Alongside Harbour, Mackie, and Winston, his film has a phenomenal cast including Erica Ash, who plays Melanie Presley, the matriarch of the family who is a cheerleader for her son Kevin, Niles Fitch, who plays Fulton, the oldest Presley son, Jennifer Coolidge, who plays Judy Romano, a tv personality, and so many more amazing actors.

While yes, this film is all about finding out what happened to Ernest the ghost, it’s also about family and how despite the ups and downs family sticks together. But also, while watching this movie, which is out now on Netflix, viewers will see that everything is not what it seems and sometimes it takes a little more digging to find out the real truth.

Make sure you stream ‘We Have A Ghost’ now on Netflix and let us know what you think!
