During his show open, Chappelle not only addressed Kanye West and his anti-semitic backlash, but also Kyrie Irving’s recent run-in with the criticism as well. Chappelle said, “Kanye got in so much trouble, Kyrie got in trouble.”

Chappelle went on to say that he doesn’t believe Kanye is crazy, but does say he “isn’t well,” while agreeing that there are many Jews in Hollywood.

While speaking on the current midterms, Chappelle addresses Herschel Walker, who is running for US Senate in Georgia. The comedian calls Walker “observably stupid,” and then goes on to talk about Trump.

Chappelle says our former POTUS is viewed as the most “honest liar,” and perhaps that is why he is liked by many. He recalls Trump claiming the system that he and many benefit from is rigged.

In addition to the folks over on Twitter, fellow comedians Michael Rapaport and Amanda Seales spoke out, condemning critics for coming after Chappelle. Rapaport tells critics to go make themselves sick from eating sugar-filled treats and not by Chappelle’s monologue.

Meanwhile, Seales simply reposted an article claiming Chappelle “used his monologue to echo Kanye’s antisemitism.” She put a caption over the video and said, “Welp. This narrative has officially gone too far.”
