More details are emerging in the tragic death of Jamea Jonae Harris, who was shot and killed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on Sunday. New documents released on Tuesday revealed that former Alabama basketball player Darius Miles did not shoot the innocent victim but admitted to providing a gun to Michael Lynn Davis, who is believed to have fired multiple shots at Harris, with one of those bullets ending her life.

The pair is currently facing capital murder charges in the death of the 23-year-old, whose mother previously claimed was killed because she refused to talk to them. Out of the multiple shots that were fired, records reveal that one of those bullets hit Harris through the Jeep she was seated in on the passenger side. She was found dead when cops arrived.

Furthermore, according to the deposition, the docs reveal that “Darius Miles admitted to providing Michael Davis with the handgun immediately prior to the shooting,” while witnesses have since identified Michael as the shooter. Miles is accused of intentionally causing the death of Harris by aiding and providing the firearm, with the athlete’s lawyers saying that his family remains heartbroken over the death of the innocent woman.

Harris and a driver, whose name has not been disclosed by police yet, had come to a stop at Grace Street and University Boulevard. Confirmed reports based on the police report revealed that Miles and Davis pulled up to the Jeep and shared a brief exchange that quickly turned into a heated quarrel before gunfire erupted as bystanders fled the area and police were called to the scene.

As cops arrived, they say Harris’ lifeless body was discovered inside the Jeep, and while questioning the driver about the altercation, the person admitted to firing back at the suspects in an act of self-defense. It’s believed that Davis may have been struck by gunfire but got away with a non-threatening wound.
