Tekashi 6ix9ine had a little jail trip on Wednesday after West Palm Beach police took him into custody in Florida.

The 27-year-old controversial rapper was booked into Palm Beach County Jail overnight on charges of failure to appear, jail records show. However, 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, was released from jail just three hours later on a $2,000 bond.

The arrest comes months after he was dragged, kicked, and beaten up in the men’s locker room in an LA Fitness gym in south Florida. As we previously reported, the March incident left disgraced rapper pretty injured and he was sent to hospital to receive treatment for gashes to his head, bruises and swelling on his jaw, ribs and back.

Who’s Responsible For The Beatdown?

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office eventually made arrests in the assault and robbery of popular rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine back on March 21 at a Palm Beach County LA Fitness. The group of men were identified as Rafael Medina Jr., 43, Octavious Medina, 23, and Anthony Maldonado, 25.

Video posted to several social media sites showed 6ix9ine squealing on the floor of the gym bathroom as at least two men kicked him and grabbed him by the hair. He did not have personal security with him, and reportedly tried to fight back during the attack but was overpowered and outnumbered.

The guys are heard on video boasting about the attack on social media. The motive for the beat down is still unclear. However, like many assume, 6ix9ine was possibly targeted for being reckless on the internet.

More On Tekashi 6ix9ine

The rapper was a super viral sensation for years but that all dimmed down in 2018, after he was labelled a snitch for testifying to prosecutors as part of a deal to lessen his own time in prison.

He was looking at 47 years in prison, and could’ve gone down for life, after he was charged with several crimes, including racketeering, firearm possession, armed robbery and attempted murder. However, he was released early from federal prison after he cooperated with the feds during an effort to prosecute fellow gang members.

6ix9ine has not yet reacted to his latest arrest.
