Ex-Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider has been receiving tons of criticism after accusations of inappropriate and abusive behavior were made against him in the new docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.”
Now in a new Instagram post, former ‘Zoey 101’ star, Chris Massey’s mother spoke out defending Dan Schneider because he gave her son an opportunity. “Dan Schneider you are awesome you are a genius. I can’t thank this guy enough for the opportunity he gave my son and my family,” she then went on to conclude with “BLAME THE PARENTS.”
As we previously shared, Schneider, who was behind popular children’s shows such as “The Amanda Show,” “Victorious” and “Drake and Josh,” broke his silence about some of the allegations against him and the network and stated that it was “very difficult” for him to watch the docuseries that came out Sunday and Monday. “Facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and that I regret,” he said. “I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”
“Every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience because kids thought they were funny — and only funny,” he said. “Now, we have some adults looking back at them 20 years later through their lens and they’re looking at them and they’re saying, ‘I don’t think that’s inappropriate for a kids’ show.’ And I have no problem with that… Let’s cut those jokes out of the show.”

We also shared how Drake Bell spoke out in the doc and revealed how he was sexually abused by his dialogue coach, Brian Peck who in 2004 was sentenced to 16 months in prison after pleading no contest to two counts of child sex abuse. During his interview on YouTube Dan Schneider denied hiring Brian Peck.
Schneider said that when Bell told him about the assault, he was “more devastated by that than anything that ever happened to me in my career, thus far.”
Did she even watch the Doc. 2 of the women writers were getting paid half contract money and went through some shady stuff. Agree much the stuff he did is what many bosses in any industry did or do once get power and it’s still going on. But it’s still wrong and never deserves to be praised.
