Tonight in Los Angeles, Freeform took us to Chatham and back to Y2K to celebrate the season 2 premiere of Cruel Summer. The highly anticipated anthology series will return on June 5 with an all-new cast and a new mind-boggling mystery.

The evening’s festivities were held at the GRACE E. SIMONS LODGE; at Elysian Park in Los Angeles and we felt like we were right in the middle of it all in Chatham with lots of nostalgia taking it back to the 2000s with our favorite Spice Girls hits and the memories of the best times!

Guests were treated to themed food, cocktails, and gifts to celebrate the second season and we even brought in the year 2000, nothing like New Year’s Eve in May! The sheriff even paid a visit and interviewed us.

Attendees included Lexi Underwood, Sadie Stanley, Griffin Gluck, and more. Tori Spelling, Lance Bass, Beverley Mitchell, Mario Lopez, Colton Underwood, Kelly Rizzo were also in attendance!

On the carpet, Jessica Biel reunited with her’7th Heaven co-stars Lance Bass and Beverley Mitchell before giving us an intro to episode 1 title, “Welcome to Chatham. Biel produced the series and we were hooked with the first episode.

Fans of the series will not be disappointed when season two premieres June 5 as the secrets, twists, and mysteries this time around are even more shocking and we haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!

This time round Cruel Summer is set in 1999, where a small-town computer genius Megan resents the arrival of outgoing and mysterious foreign exchange student Isabella. Little does she know, her life will change by the Summer of 2000. In Summer 1999, Isabella grows closer to Luke, while struggling to connect with Megan, who later becomes her best friend, until all hell breaks loose.

The show has always seamlessly transitioned from different times to show a series of events and that same methodology came into season 2 where we learned the progression of events through the late 90s to the year 2000 and why the characters ended up where they are.

Season 2 debuts on Monday, June 5, at 9:00 p.m. EST with a special two-episode premiere on Freeform.
