A female corrections officer from California will be jailed after she had sex with an inmate in front of eleven other inmates.

Tina Gonzalez,26, appeared in court for her sentencing on where details of her year-long affair with the inmate at Fresno County Jail were described at a courthouse on Tuesday. One of the details included when Gonzalez cut a hole in her pants to give her lover easy access. Assistant Sheriff Steve McComas called the entire situation “depraved” and added that Gonzalez keeps in contact with the inmate despite losing her job and getting arrested last May.
“She took an oath which she betrayed and in doing so endangered her coworkers’ lives. But she has shown no remorse. She continually calls and has sexually explicit conversations with the inmate in question and boasts about the crimes she carried out,”

According to the New York Post, Gonzalez pleaded no contest to sexual activity by a detention facility employee with a consenting inmate. She also smuggled drugs and gave the inmate a cellphone during the affair.
A judge sentenced Gonzalez to serve seven months in prison and she will have two years probation after her release.
