Coronavirus Spreads For First Time In U.S., CDC Says
Well, this is not good. This Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that a close contact of one of the patients in the U.S. with coronavirus has been infected with the illness, which is now the first evidence that the new virus has spread person-to-person in this country.

While they didn’t give many details on this latest case, it was shared that the new patient lives with a Chicago woman in her 60s who was diagnosed after returning last month from Wuhan, China, where the outbreak started and has now sickened upward of 8,000 people.
KFOR reports that the woman is currently under quarantine at AMITA Health St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates. Meanwhile, the husband is also hospitalized in stable condition, but health officials did not share his exact location.
NBC News reports that at least 170 people have died after contracting the deadly virus — all in China. As of right now, a total of six people have now been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in the U.S., two each in Illinois and California, and one each in Arizona and Washington state.
