Coronavirus Hospital Built In Ten Days Opens In China

The Coronavirus hospital that was built within 10 days has opened its doors to the public in China.

The Huoshenshan Hospital has finally opened its doors to the public around 10 a.m. Monday as reported by the New York Post. The 645,000 square-foot building was constructed outside of Wuhan and was finally completed on Sunday, almost two weeks after the site began construction on Jan 23. Currently, the hospital has 1,000 beds and another facility, the Leishenshan Hospital, is scheduled to open later this week.

Government officials have also deployed 1,400 medical staff from the military to help treat patients with the Wuhan coronavirus. President Hi Jinping issued the order on Sunday and began to airlift medical supplies to Wuhan along with hundreds of doctors and nurses. They will be placed at Huoshenshan Hospital. The current death toll is 300 and thousands more could be infected.

The hospital will contain 950 members of the People’s Liberation Army along with 450 medical students from the military.
