The footage shows officers entering the home of Mario Daughtery and his girlfriend, Ashlea Burr while using flashbangs and telling at the couple and their children, aged 13 and 14. Their oldest daughter Zariyah ran out of the home believing a robbery was occurring but was stopped by police officers in an alley as reported by the New York Post. The officers pointed guns and screamed at the teen as she was cornered in the alleyway.
Investigators claimed the couple was growing marijuana in their home but officers only found a small amount of the drug and there was no further evidence to support the case. No charges were filed and in last October, the couple filed a lawsuit against the department. The officers in the raid were identified as Brett Hankinson, Myles Cosgrove, Mike Campbell, Mike Nobles, and Joshua Jaynes, the same officers involved in the raid that led to Breonna Taylor’s death.

Daughtery told Vice News that she wanted to let the public know about their story and said their children are still living the nightmare from that night.
“It’s like we relive this stuff every day, I mean, our kids, they’ll never forget about this stuff. And it just hurts. We just wanted to get our story out there because we didn’t want this to happen to anybody innocent and anybody’s life to get lost,”
